Hi all,

I am working for a software company and I am tasked with formulating the Work Hour Policy. Generally, in our office, people arrive by 11 AM and stay for long hours. Now, I have been instructed to create a policy that specifies the work timings and also requires tracking of each individual's hours. The company has established 11 AM to 4 PM as the core work hours where everyone must be present, and an email has been sent to communicate this to everyone. Unfortunately, the employees have misunderstood and are interpreting this as the official office hours.

Therefore, senior management seeks your assistance in establishing a clear company policy regarding work timings. I would appreciate prompt responses as I need to finalize this by the end of the week. Please feel free to share your views with me via email at sonali1580@gmail.com.

Regards,

Why is it for just 5 hours a day? Why can't you make it from 9 am to 5 pm or even 6 pm?

As per the law, there should be at least 8 hours of working time, and the total duration, including lunch and tea breaks, should not exceed 10 hours and 30 minutes. Please consider setting a schedule where the total hours an employee spends in the office do not exceed 10 hours or even 10 hours and 30 minutes.
