Dear All, We have one handicap employee at our Bangalore Office. I would like to know whether handicap employee is exempted from paying Profession Tax through salary or not.

Yes, a handicapped employee is exempt from Profession Tax (PTax) payment on the condition that he/she has a medical certificate from an authorized hospital confirming that he/she is handicapped more than 60%.

Physically Handicapped are exempted from Paying he PT, But PH Employee should have a certificate from Govt Health Dept stating his disability.
