Probation Period & Provident Fund

Hi Members,

I would like to know if an employee is under probation, should we show his name in the register?

My doubt is if we show his name in the register, PF authorities may question us why PF has not been deducted. Is there any rule in the Provident Fund that states if an employee is under probation, there is no need to deduct P.F.?

Please provide your valuable reply.

Regards,
Narendra

Dear Narendra,

If an employee is under probation, it is our duty to deduct P.F. If this is not the case, then all employers will not deduct P.F., and they may show most of their employees only under probation.

Thanks,
