Hi today is Children's Day. When I was a little child, this name came into my mind with an advertisement of Bajaj when they launched their bulb. I remember the quotes, and I know you do too. Just putting the words together. When I was a little child, I used to do mischievous things. My thefts were caught, and Bajaj provided light. I started my day with a mouth-watering call saying lollipops have arrived. Yes, the occasion was Children's Day celebration. We have a Fun Committee consisting of employees who are actually funny, crazy, wild, and go-getters. They throw ideas like beans. The first idea was the collection of childhood pics, the second to give a Tom & Jerry CD, and the third to give a CD of Malgudi Days to all the employees. We thought it wouldn't be a great idea to pirate the CDs, so in the end, we settled for giving lollipops to all the employees and matching them with the childhood pics. The teaser was sent around 11:00 hrs so that the mouths start watering, and then the phones started ringing asking for lollipops as if the guys were waiting. We planned to distribute before these big kids go back to their school days. The scene on the floor was amusing, with everybody having lollipops in their mouths discussing engineering drawings from top management to their buddies. Looking at the employees, one more idea immediately popped into my mind. We should put up a whiteboard for employees to scribble, and it was a great success. All employees came with their childhood art, from ABCD to 5x5=10, peacock, elephant, the hut with mountain and birds chirping around, and whatnot. The best part of the day was when the employees, while leaving, actually became kids, asking for more and more. I thought my purpose was served. The question is not about whether we have a child in all of us, the question is, do we provide space for them to come out? Allow it, and then you see the big thing becoming small, and hard work getting enjoyable. Enjoy reading.
