Hello friend,

I need your help. Our office is located in Mumbai, and the company's head office is in Delhi. We have a PF account in Delhi. An employee who resigned from his position had worked with us for 5 years and 1 month and is 52 years old.

Is it true that he is not eligible for the Family Pension Scheme because he completed 10 years of continuous service with our company? If he is eligible, what documents does he need to claim EFP, and which form does he have to fill?

Thank you.

Regards,
Rashmi

Dear Rashmi,

For the pension, a minimum service of 10 years is required. (9 years & 6 months will be rounded up to 10 years). However, continuous service is not mandatory. Breaks in service and service in various organizations are also acceptable.
