Hi there,

Generally, the probation period varies from 6 months to 1 year, depending on the company. During the probation period, employees are entitled to leave. In my company, we offer both CL (Casual Leave) and PL (Paid Leave) to our employees. I hope this information is helpful.

The probation period may vary from 3 to 1 year as per the requirement of the industry and the area in which the industry is located. You have to make your own decision. Secondly, one should have practices and procedures that are helpful to employees, and giving leaves depends on the procedure you adopt.

As per prevailing practices, we provide CL and SL from the first day of joining on a prorated basis, taking into account the calendar year.

Hello,

The probation period for the posts mentioned by you will be from 1 to 3 years, depending on the type of industry.

In our organization, we provide both CL and SL for the probationers. However, we only offer them half the leave provided ordinarily for other employees.

Hello Nagraj,

When you are at entry level, the probation period is high and it can be anything between 6 months to 1 year. As you grow higher in the cadre, the probation period can be minimum but it can still be anything between 3 months to 6 months.

Yes, company policies during the probation period vary. Different companies have different policies. However, most companies allow 2 days per month of leave for people who are on probation.

Once they receive confirmation, they are entitled to leaves on a pro-rata basis. For example, if a company's policy is to provide 30 days of leave to a confirmed employee in a calendar year, a person who joins in January and completes their probation in June will receive 15 days of leave.

I am sure this information will be helpful.

Probation periods vary from industry to industry; it may be 3, 6 months, or 1 year. During this period, the employee is not entitled to any allowances; they will be eligible for leaves only. In this probation period, the employer has the right to terminate the employee if the employer feels the employee's performance is unsatisfactory or if the employee violates the terms and conditions of the contract.

Thank you.
