Hi,

Can you please tell me if employment bonds are legal in India? As far as I know, it's illegal, and the person can sue the company. How true is this? Please provide me with the correct details. You can email me at pisces_m24@yahoo.com.

Employment bonds are illegal. However, this does not mean that an employee who has undergone training at the expense of the employer and gained knowledge from such training can simply leave the company before a reasonable time without repaying it in the form of resourceful service. If an employee does so, the employer's interest in recouping the amount spent on training will be protected.
