Hi friends,
This is Ratna. Today, I visited the site for the first time. I have read through all the queries and replies, and I am amazed by how patient the seniors are in responding to the queries of budding HR professionals. First, I would like to congratulate the individuals who have taken the time to respond to all the queries submitted by us.
This year, I need to submit my HR project. Since I am pursuing my MBA through a distance learning course, I lack guidance on how to complete my project. I am hopeful of receiving responses at the earliest.
Thank you.

Hello Ratna,
Welcome to this forum.
Can you tell me through which institution you are doing your MBA? I hope you have completed all other papers meant for the MBA, and I believe you are in the final phase of your MBA.
Especially in HR, the project titles are vast like an ocean. The first step you can take is to talk to the academic counselors available at the center you are attached to for student support services like counseling, etc. They are the people who guide you through the entire study.
There are a lot of attractive titles available for a project, but my humble suggestion is that you should choose a project that will facilitate you in quickly and easily obtaining the data/information needed to successfully complete the project on time.
Many people select the title first without assessing the data collection and later find themselves in trouble due to inadequate data.
Some hot topics nowadays for projects are "Training and Development" and "Stress Management."
If you are working, perhaps you can also talk to your boss about this, and I would suggest that you can take a case study at your office itself.
Best wishes,

Hi Senthil Raj,
This is Ratna, with reference to your reply. I am doing my MBA at IGNOU and am in the final semester. I want to collect information about the training process, using an example from a software company. The training process in our company is different, so I cannot refer to my company's training process. Additionally, I am looking for website recommendations that can help make my job easier in collecting this information.
I am looking forward to a positive response from all the members.
Thank you.

Dear Ratna,
Thank you for your reply.
Two good things.
One: I am working at IGNOU, New Delhi, as an officer in the Legal department. I trust I can extend support to you regarding IGNOU. If you need anything from IGNOU, New Delhi, kindly send me an email.
Second: At present, I am pursuing my M.Phil in Management, and the topic for my dissertation is about Training Methodologies and their impact in the private sector (with reference to a particular organization). Perhaps today, I finished my first round of preparation, and now I am going through everything. Regarding your request for more details, I will let you know in a couple of days.
Hope we can share more information in due course of time. Can you provide your email? My mobile number is 0-9871487138.

Hi friends,
When an employee leaves an organization without any relief from the employer or the organization, can the organization block the payment for Provident Fund and gratuity?
According to my knowledge, PF can be paid after the notice period of 3 months or after 60 days. The same thing can be applicable for gratuity, like after 60 days of the relief, the amount can be paid by the employer.
Please help me with the above issue at the earliest as one of the employees left the organization without the notice period. What steps can be taken by the employer against the employee who has been working for around 12 years in an organization?

Hi,
Welcome to the community.
As far as your project is concerned, if you can do something on mergers, like how a merger (M&A) will affect HR in an organization, it will be very useful for you. It's very challenging, and if it's like that, I will be able to help you. Keep posted.
