I have a query regarding the satellite course of XLRI. Will the course be equivalent to the regular course of PM & IR of XLRI? :icon5: I am asking this question because I have noticed on many job portals where it is mentioned, "only full-time from Premier B-schools of India." In this case, what value will the Satellite Programme hold? :confused:

Additionally, XLRI regular students receive substantial exposure to the business world, resulting in high salaries and senior positions in corporates. :-P So, in this case, if we compare both programs, where will the satellite program stand? :idea:

This is Missionary School, a privately limited institute with financial as well as functional autonomy because they don't want state interference. The Board of Trustees belongs to their interests only.

This is a commercial institute and not an educational institute. They want more revenue and have the liberty to sell certification or diploma courses to generate revenue to run the institute.

It's your choice. If you have the money to spend, you can buy this certificate or diploma. What advice would people give here?

Hi,

Long-distance education is primarily meant for working professionals who do not want to quit their jobs and do a full-time program. Secondly, the satellite-like program delivers knowledge that is required in a stretched pattern of 3 years in comparison to 2 years of a regular program. If you want to do 2 years, then take a sabbatical from the company and do that, if it's permitted.

As far as credentials are concerned, at least among Indian companies, XLRI & TISS are given priority in HR programs, while IIM (A) is also equally good. If I need to rate one among these top-ranked, then XLRI is the best.

You need to pay for the quality of education that you wish to take. This is a funded institution that has tradition behind it and quality too. If you have studied in colleges like St. Stephen's Delhi or Loyola Chennai, then you will be able to appreciate the quality of education that they render.

What is the definition of quality education?

Until institutes like this private limited promotees invest time, energy, and money to develop know-how through research and development activities, this becomes management jargon and a commercial gimmick. These institutes only promote commercial objectives to generate revenue. If they were involved in research and development, they would definitely have Nobel Laureates and scholars. They do not possess any world-class know-how or methodologies of global recognition to be considered as providing quality education.

The bogus propaganda of quality education has no yardstick to measure the quality element in their education. Quality should mean world-class, global standards, requiring the measurement of Nobel Prize nominees and scholars produced by such quality institutes. This is irrelevant to the functioning of these institutes in India. Therefore, it's bogus propaganda.

Furthermore, this differentiation is discriminatory and biased, which is not a global practice. No institutes can be measured in this manner through verbal debates or imaginary conclusions. The spreading of myths and scandals was an old trick, but in this Information Technology Age, people can easily fact-check information. We have access to all kinds of information to verify what exactly they deliver.

Essentially, these Missionary and RSS-promoted institutes use rumors as a weapon to patronize social perception by reinforcing myths of their supremacy, when in reality, they are merely scandal-mongering institutes.

Any form of discrimination against other educational institutes and universities is a medieval age apartheid practice. This act is nothing but a promotional activity of the discriminatory caste system in India, representing elite education classes with no authenticity, disguised as quality education.

This promotes total injustice within university education and undermines the formal university education system in the country through propaganda conspiracy.

Such baseless arguments in the absence of rock-solid proof always end with nothing. What's important? An objective norm and evidence to elevate the argument. We see many fraudulent propaganda-based and rumor-mongering businesses in almost all walks of life in India. It's a matter of our intelligence to question the proof that makes the difference.

Quality education is a myth until it has been substantiated with corroborative evidence beyond doubt. The best example is the output they deliver to society in terms of intellectuals and scholars who receive global recognition or approval from the global body of professionals who verify and acknowledge the statement.

This is not taking place, and we only bark here, eulogizing and spreading myths to become the standard norm. This is what we are witnessing in India since Independence, leading to manipulative tactical advantages for such educational institutes in India.

Basically, these kinds of institutes are being promoted under the religious argument to preserve social, cultural, and religious values by promoting such an educational system through private limited institutes by registering charitable trusts by associations such as the Christian Missionaries Association, Hindu RSS-affiliated Education Institutes, Muslim-affiliated Anjuman Islam Education System, Parsi Religious Trust, etc., to obtain government approval to come into existence and be recognized as autonomous religious trusteeships to conduct religious preachings from the Bible, Quran, etc.

They use Article 19 of the Constitution of India as the fundamental right to practice religion, which is the genesis of such private limited institutes operating under religious trustees and autonomy.

This autonomous status enables not just full autonomy in setting coursework and syllabus of those institutes and research centers but also allows them to set their guidelines for admissions, fees, and instructions to the students.

This institute is run by the Charitable Trust of Christians Missionaries in the State of Jharkhand for Adivasi people like "Snathali" who are in the majority converted to Christians.

They don't charge fees for those who opt for Christianity... :-D

Please, can anyone tell me about the fee structure and the duration of the satellite MBA program and how relevant it is for career prospects.

2. Government of India - Ministry of Human Resources, Department of Education.

XLRI only awards Diplomas for its Post Graduate full-time courses because they are not recognized and funded by the University Grants Commission.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences is recognized by:
1. University Grants Commission as a Deemed University and funded by the UGC, which adds more legitimacy to the education.
2. It has also been recognized by the United Nations.

In 1969: The first research unit of the Institute, the Unit for Child and Youth Research, is set up with support from UNICEF.
TISS awards Bachelor's and Master's Degrees for their courses because they are approved and recognized by UGC.

This is what I can say about validating education and how this private limited education business is faring in India... It's a total flip-flop scenario.

Why are management professionals being so underestimated by Indians? Why are they so tempted towards a few names rather than focusing on the excellence of individuals? This is a sick-minded approach.

Who works in management - these schools or institutes or individual professionals? Well, I can say it's just a lack of confidence in the capabilities of Indian management professionals that results in a situation where institutes are considered bigger than scholars or laureates. UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH.
