Human Relationship - A story to share...
Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job, or with the people we know. We miss out on some warmth in human relationships to give each other support. Treasure what you have. Just a little story for you...
A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple, and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work, so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen, totally forgot the matter.
The boy playfully went to the medicine bottle and, fascinated with its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child showed signs of poisoning, the mother took him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified of how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.
QUESTIONS:
1. What were the four words?
2. What is the implication of this story?
Check with the answers only after you have tried to come up with your own.
ANSWER:
- The husband just said "I Love You Darling"...
- The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive behavior. He is indeed a genius in human relationships. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.
If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be many fewer problems in the world.
To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must understand her a lot and love her with all your heart.

Hi Lalita,
That was a good story. Life would really be less complex if people used empathy and put themselves in the other person's shoes before taking any action. Transactional Analysis (TA) is a good means to understand the complexities of human interactions. It's simple to understand yet difficult to implement. But nonetheless, with conscious efforts, one can definitely achieve mastery in human dealings.

Hi,
Thank you for reminding me of the story. People in a company often try to find fault with others because they fear risking their own jobs. This behavior reflects the culture of the organization as well. Emulating a positive culture can greatly improve one's work life, making it happy and enjoyable.

Hi Lalita,
Once again, I disagree with you. To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little. WHY? Why did you say to love a man little? Why do you make gender discrimination? Why do women need more love than men? I have no doubt that a well human relationship will drive us towards a better and prospective life, but why have you given a statement with gender bias?

Hi Lalitha, great story. The hubby was probably one cold clinical guy. Okay, all that altruistic justification apart, I think his wife would wallop him for such out-of-place endearments. All of us need to vent in extreme emotional crises. That is generally the law of nature, and one needs to define the limits of what is considered an empathetic act. The story draws a thin line between that and insensitivity.
PS. Men and women just need to have a ball, and it's up to each to decide how and what. Expectancies are real bummers.

Hey, This instance can be linked with the post of CHR ' The 90/10 Secret'. This really works. But it also takes a lot to control one’s emotions and feelings. Regards, Soumya Shankar

"I Love You Darling"
This is incomplete to make it funnier! Just add, "I Love You Darling." You did a great job! :)
Death is not your office job! It is not your daily work! Keep quiet and say nothing, because the situation is shocking! Sometimes quietness is louder than words. It seems there is some mental or psychological problem with the hero. This doesn't even fit in our movies!

Hi Lalitha,
You have stolen my words; what a true thought. Men are just like stones; you just need to know where and how to fix them properly, and they will stand by themselves. Whereas women are like small plants that need to be handled with care, care, care, and they will deliver the best. Trust me, you won't repent. Please correct me if I am wrong. I will share this with my better half today.
Bye,
Santosh
