I am working with an Automobile Dealership and would like to measure the performance of the Sales Advisors. I have decided on some parameters such as:

- Sales Target Vs Achievement
- Behaviour
- Work days Vs present days

What are other parameters that can help me measure performance? Please give your suggestions.

Parameters should not be specific; the scope should be broader. Find below parameters:

1) Performance - Accommodate targets and achievements in this parameter.
2) Soft Skills -
1) Questionnaire
2) Attendance
3) Peer evaluation
4) Team Lead evaluation
5) Client or customer appreciation

3) Loyalty - Recognize past efforts and commitment to the future.

Make your evaluations simple and transparent to ensure you can win the hearts of your employees.

The automobile industry is a very lucrative industry and has a niche market for automobiles under each segment. First, this needs to be identified. One needs to be clear if sales are the only thing or outcome, or if other things can be taken into consideration via appraising. For example, hit rate, retention of customers, potential to do more, area in which he/she is working (e.g., city like Mumbai or Jaipur), knowledge of the industry vis-a-vis the company, and so on.
