Dear Friends,

I would like to invite your worthy comments on the practice of horizontal movement of employees within the same organization. In other words, "Is the practice of interdepartmental transfer of employees beneficial or hazardous to the employee?"

My submission is that apparently, it looks like a benefit for the employee, but actually, it is not. The reason being - his CV becomes a CV of a person who is a jack of all trades and master of none.

Your valuable comments, please.

Regards,
Bharathi.

Dear Friends,

There are certain circumstances created at times when, due to sweet talking of management and certain buttering and pressure, an employee is carried away and accepts this so-called non-financial promotion. However, the effects of such internal transfers are seen on the CV - invariably, it is seen as a CV of an inconsistent candidate.

So please give your feedback, comments, and inputs on this subject.

Regards,
Bharathi
