According to my knowledge, I would like to clear you that principle employer is fully responsible to obtain the Certificate of Registration under the BOCW Act by own.
Principle Contractor is only responsible to take the license under Contract Labor Act.
You can deny to your principle to take the Certificate of Registration under the Bocw Act.

Dear All,

We are a Interior's works execution company, please help and advise on below :-

Need Advise with reference to Maharashtra state or if the act is central then any body who can advise

Is BOCW act a state government or is common to all states of India / is a Central Act applicable.

If A company is engaging in executing Interior works across India with each contract being for a short period on 3 to 4 months at any location, is the registration a one time requirement or every time a new contract is to be executed we need a new registration ? it could be that separate contracts are executed in different time durations in one year.

2nd Main point : If all the workers employed at any given site are regular on payroll of a company deputed to different sites in different period's, then does the company need to have a registration in place under Contract Labour Act at every location for every contract ?

3rd Main Point : A company executing Interior works contract having workers strength of more than 25 at one site and also has multiple sites across country at different time periods, is the registration under both acts i.e CLA as well as BOCW act or only one CLA or BOCW act registration is required.

It is clearly mrtioned in The ESI Act that it is not applicable on the activities of Construction of a Project.
