hi every one,
Im 2011 passed out B Tech fresher currently working for cognizant.
since child hood I help my uncle in his business and learnt management and administration with hands on experience part time.
During my vacations I used to work full time and i learnt transport management and maintenance, production planning and product delivery and customer relationship.
I wanted to switch over to non-IT job but companies ask for experience or certification eg mba.
In the above case what should i do for a job change over, having hands on experience in diverse fields since child hood.

Dear Mr. Moorthy,

Glad to know about your personal development and passion. I do understand that people perform better when they take jobs of their interest. But you are still young and you might be feeling that, grass is always green on the other side, but its not the scenario. You have to realize and for that, you must be practical and apply logic in your life.

I would suggest that, please do pursue your MBA through DISTANCE EDUCATION mode and continue with your current job. I can assure you, since you have an ability to learn and explore, you can still learn more in the coming years while serving COGNIZANT which has INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS.

Please set your goals which should define,

1) What exactly you want to offer and deliver, that could of your interest and proportionate to the skills & knowledge you possess?

2) Which organisation you wish to join, that matches with your interest?

3) What kind of designation you are looking for, that could help you to deliver your roles better?

4) How much salary you wish to earn?

At this moment you need to manage yourself better and try to pursue your MBA in-order to improve your future.

With profound regards

thnq u so much Mr.Abdul for ur wonderful post.
I wish to shift to management side rather than sit and code the whole day.
Im better in planning and organizing things.
If im allowed to sit for mba placements or assign a work that is done by an mba graduate Im sure i ll yield a better result.
But why do Hr's or companies stick to certification eg.BE or MBA in all cases for recruitment????

Dear Mr. Moothy,
Various COURSES has got its own value and also they contain various theoretical topics that is required for us to learn to get qualified for certain domain specific job where specializations are concerned/considered. You wouldn't have got into COGNIZANT, if you wouldn't have completed your B.TECH. If you complete you MBA, you can add stars to your career because B.TECH + MBA is a very good combination.
With profound regards
