Dear Seniors,
We belong to a Property Development company. One of our customer's wife is recruited as our HRD Manager.
Her experience is from core govt organisation. She is harrashing her subordinate a lot for every small thing. Manupulating things infront of her superior and blaming her subordinate for the things which she was not responsible. She is unable to save herself from this situation. More or less right from pen and paper she wants her to inform every thing to her including putting a cc to her for every mail that goes from her subordinate's mail id mandatoryily.
Please advice me if our boss is of this kind, how can we handle such kind of boss.
She is my frn. I would pass her the advice.
Regards
Srivani

Shivani...
Please find suggestions for your questions.
1.Manupulating of data needs to be highlighted to top management in your company.
2. CC being mandatory is not something wrong. some bosses prefer to top of things around them. once you get theri confidence that would not be required
3. Since its a small time company, you can ask your friend to find oppotunity based on edu.qualfication and experience in good corporate comapny.
just one question - subject line is slightly misleading stating HRD is harrasing me and the description says my friend is in trouble need to advice her.

There are " N " number of people and " N " number of mentalities in the world. The person whom you are talking is one character. If the members in the team who are all facing this problem should come together and have a meeting with her and inform her politely because if individually communicates then there is every possibility that she can target that particular individual and create more trouble hence better the entire team. Even after that there is no change then it should be escalated to the higher authorities, if the higher authorities are also not responding positively then they have to live with them or else they have to look for alternatives.

Srivani,
One sureshot but somewhat difficult way to deal with such bosses is to be candid. Candor has definite advantages; but for that one MUST be always improving, principled and courageous.
regards,
