Employer is willing to contribute 12% on 20,000 that is 2400
Can the employee limit his contribution to 1800 which is 12% of Basic for want of more take home pay.
Please clarify

Hi No both Emp and Employer to contribute equally either on actual basic and limit it to Rs. 1800/- max.

Thank you very much. i understand it is not a choice of the employee. The employer decides the PF amount subject to 1800 min. Employees deduction cannot go below the employers but the employee can increase it if he wants.

Hi To reitrate both emp and employer should be equal. However if employee want to contribute more, as a saving then employee has the option of VPF.
