Dear all HR experts, pl. reply.
Mr. A is working in XYZ public Ltd. Co. as Sr. manager and met with an accident during duty hours. Dr. asked him to rest for 4 weeks. After resuming on duty HR dept asked fill up PL for resting periods and then only salary will be made. MR. A argued but HR say it as per company's policy as Mr. A is covered under group insurance policy. So what ever compation insurance company will give will be pass it on to Mr.A but it is less than his salary. Why Mr. A has to put PL for resting period? Is there any act for this ? Pl. ccmments on this.

Dear Sir
The employees whoever crossed ESI limit
will be covered under Mediclaim policy. But in the mediclam policy we can claim only the hospital treatment and it will not cover Leave wages. But in the Group personal accident policy we can claim leave wage as usual and the medical expenses will be very less accoridng to our policy and premium limit.
I think the A was covered under group insurance policy. Contact the Insurance company and get the benefit to him.
Some company will give Special leave for this entire period if the accident occured during the course of employment that too under unsafe condition not under unsafe act. But it is depend upon the company policy and value of the employee.
