Dear Mr Mangal Singh

Following are my suggestions to overcome the problem:

1. Please inform your Chief Executive who is heading to call for an every day meeting of all BDMs

2. You also be present in the meeting

3. Open the meeting with your business objectives and let every one be aware of it

4. Tell all BDMs that they are partners in the business and they have to take ownership

5. As HR person, you also address the necessity of team building and to have a strong progressive team

6. Review business performance once a week or once a month and draw action plans

7. Make the people responsible and accountable

8. Fix the targets and give the deadlines

9. Ask your Chief Executive to aggressively address the targets fixed and review performance of each individual month-to-month basis

10. Start counselling the poor, average and normal performers and ask them to improve in the presence of chief Executive

11. Give them deadlines to improve and also motivate them

12. Make them realise how the company is spending and investing on them by way of salary, benefits, etc., by facts and figures

13. If anyone continue to be poor and are not performing, let the Chief Executive call them and give them a final warning in writing

14. In spite of all these, if there is no improvement, discharge the persons

15. In the meanwhile, while following steps from 1 to 12, arrange for training both inside and outside the premises, arrange for gatherings, informal meetings, tea-parties to the managers and staff and take every opportunity to highlight the importance of your business and take the feed back

16. Also make a clear-cut organisation chart, reporting structure, and job responsibilities to make them more accountable.

I am sure, if the above steps are implemented, you can see a drastic change in the behaviour and attitude of the persons involved and company moves towards progress.

Wish you all the best,

Regards

K.Ramachandra
