Thank you very much, I like your story, and i will try to implement it as you mentioned, BUT still its not an easy job to handle the leader of the indiciplinary, so we have to be strict and specific.

What you are saying is true and have been done already but without effect :S, that's why they asked for other new ideas and suggestions to solve the matter. Thank you very much for commenting. Appreciation letter is a good idea. Thank you

Instead of unishment
bring in teh concept of 5S into organisation
prepare teh plant lyout to different zones
make 5S score to each zone
make the person from worker as the leader of teh zone and ask him to prepare 5S score by self
announce the 5S implementation and give awareness training
display the fixed point photo area and display the photos by week 1,2,3,4 and see the condition week after
ask the zone leader to take photo and display
Make 5S week celebration in factory and make validictory function and anounce best zone and make rolling trophy and give a get to gether to the winner zone members
but before all this the management should come front in begining to make the 5S practices on shop floor with all staff doing initial cleaning

Apply 5S it is very effective practise to maintain your production plant in clean manner....(meaning of 5S) Sorting, Simplifying, Sweeping, Standardizing, and Self-Discipline (quality control) make a training program in your office for staff and workers awareness.
take care

Hello Fatma,
I can give you a solution that will work--100% guaranteed, but you may not like it or rather like to implement it.
Neverthless, here is the solution.
Instead of thinking & discussing whom to hold responsible for the upkeep of the Factory floor, WHY DON'T YOU DO IT YOURSELF FOR A FEW DAYS? Take it from me--when you lead by example, everyone will follow--your Chairman included, not to speak of the workers.
If you recollect the movie a few years ago where Gandhigiri was applauded, you will know what I mean.
Taking another cue from the way we inculcate good habits into children: when the kid doesn't listen to us, what is the best way to handle the situation? Doing it yourself IN FRONT OF THE CHILD. Then the child is sure to follow.
Well............the rest is upto you.

Dear Tajsateesh
Thank you for your suggestion, you are talking correctly, I got your point. I even wrote in my notes that everyone is talking talking but no one is doing. You are completing my notes to make it full.
I like your idea, I am gonna keep it in my mind to have it implemented.
Thank you

Hello Fatma,
I think you understood me only partially right--at least that's the impression I got when I read the line: 'I am gonna keep it in my mind to have it implemented.'
What I meant was--YOU IMPLEMENT IT. Not getting someone to do it.
I am not sure if your meeting with your Chairman happened or not. But irrespective of whether it took place or not, I suggest YOU take a broom or whatever is used & begin to clean. pl be sure that there will be many who will laugh or ridicule you initially. Just laugh them off & continue & complete the task. You can be sure of the result-- if not on the same day, then in a few days for sure.

Hey Tajsateesh,
I meant by saying the previous line is that I will keep it in my mind to REMEMBER it and implement it. And I am very lucky as the chairan is busy these days at the head office for few more days BUT he may come tomorrow, SO, I am ready !
Thank you for indicating .. If you have more and more ideas, feel free and express yourself :)

Hello Fatma,
Sometimes it's wise to know when to stop :-)
There's a quote/saying: too much is too bad.
When you begin to get too much/many inputs, you will land in a situation of Multiplicity of choices.
Suggest focus whether the solution under consideration will solve the problem. If yes, then go ahead. At that stage if you still begin to look for more choices, you will only get confused rather than getting a more appropriate choice.

Dear Tajsaeesh.
Thank you for your continual support.
Today was my discussion and it was positive. I focused in few points as belw:
1 - To know the feedback using why analysis.
2 - To involve supervisors and train them.
3 - To make a leader out of the most indicipline worker.
Results:
1 - I'll get information about worker's feedback to analyse it andreach the real reasons of their bad habit of not listening to the instruction given concerning cleaning.
2 - TO THINK OF " HOW TO CHANGE THE MENTALITY OF SUPERVISORS TO GIVE THEM TRAINING TO MAKE THEM AWARE AND EFFECTIVE "
Second point is more important. We want to involve supervisors as they are the ones who spend MORE time with workers. So now I need some attachments, ideas, or suggestion on this limited point "How to change mentality of supervisors to perform as per training which will be given"
Let me remind you about what I am talking about " I need workers to follow instruction given concerningcleaning ".
Thank you
