Dear Connection's, Request for suggestions-
Before first lockdown, we hired a sales candidate who joined on 16th of March 2020 and served four days in the company.
His orientation, joining formalities remained incomplete and we couldn't able to complete the process.
Meanwhile, our APAC management pressurized for manpower cut and ways to reduce cost.
Nothing was in hand and we asked that newly joined candidate to look for other options as the company is unable to continue with the position.
After lot of discussions, pauses in communication & other opinions we agreed to close this matter by compensating a certain amount with mutual understanding.
Last week with all the formalities we as a company handed over a cheque with X amount. He agreed and accepted the same thing by signing a document.
Almost after a week CHEQUE is yet to deposit, Now the query is about his thought process on this matter, as due to the situation even the candidate suffered a lot and threatened us for some actions.

Would like to know the legal aspect of this condition.
