Hi...My friend worked in a company for more than two years. In December 2017 he resigned from the company. He has himself forfeited the notice period amount as he was not able to serve because of his ill health. BUT The company distributed the performance appraisal of 2016-17 in November 2017(which it was supposed to do in April 2017) when he was still active with the company. But the company has not given his appraisal dues. The top management is also deaf to his grievances. What should he do? If the performance incentive is linked to 2016-17, which the company is supposed to give in April 2017, should he also not claim for it? Please help with your suggestion.

Yes, your friend has a rightful claim for performance incentive for 2016-17. He should take up for payment and persistently follow up till payment is realised. As he has resigned on account of ill-heath he should try to evoke sympathy and he may appeal to the higher management listing out his achievements and accomplishments , also submit medical papers.
