Hello, My company is following PF/ ESI system. We have 2 interns in our company for 6 months. It is paid internship means we will pay salary/ stipend of 5000/-.
Should I show them in my company salary sheet? if I show then I have to apply PF/ ESI deduction. Or Should I pay them separately but we can't pay in cash.
What is the rules to pay Interns?

Dear Monika,
You can show them as intern and pay stipend. This is to inform you that, stipend will not attract any PF or ESIC contribution on it. Also, Make sure that all paper work is upto date related to their training which may be asked by any inspection officer.
