Hi All,
Wanted to know like what is the action taken against an employee quitting the organisation without intimation apart from blocking his salary .
No clause was mentioned in the appointment letter given to him regarding the same too. Kindly help me out with the industry practice.

Dear Sharmila,

You are to go through the service conditions or the standing orders applicable in your unit for taking legal action in the matter of absentism. If both the situations are not there you may procced further according to the principle of natural justice. You should issue notice regarding his absentism. At least give two three reminders to join his duties anolng with his explanation stating that if he do not respond then it will be presumed that you are no longer interested in his services & your name will be struck off from the rolls of the unit considering the case of self abandoment with out any further notice in the matter. Finally. you may struck off his name w.e.f the date mentioned in the final notice & intimate the same to the employee/Worker asking him to collect his full & final dues after submitting the no dues certificate.If we consider the absentism a misconduct then we shall have to coduct the domestic enquiry by appointing E. O. which is a lengthy process.
