Hi Kavitha,
be aware of your company compensation policy and the pay structure to process pay roll. You should also have little bit knowledge on the leaves administration as well your company's attendance policy to process errors free pay roll.

Provident Fund: Employees' contribution 12% on Basic Salary & 13.61% from Employer
ESI: Employees' contribution 1.75% on the gross salary & 4.75% from employer
Professional Tax: it has no percentage wise calculation. But you have slab rate system. It is vary from state to sate in India. You can see professional tax calculation slab for Andhra pradesh. The P.T is deducted on the gross salary

Dear Kavitha,
1. ESI Deduction is 1.75% from Employee Contribution of Earned Salary up to 15000. if it exceeds more than 15 K, you should take 263 rupees only. If his fixed salary is 14k and if earn from his OT another 2 k. His Salary will become 16K. But you should deduct only 1.75% for 15 k. For the Same amount Employer Contribution should be 4.75% and paid to the ESI A/C.
2. PF is 12% on Basic from Employee and Employer side
3. PT Slab rate will be 150 RS from 10000 to 15000
200 RS Above 15000.
But it will not apllicabale to Delhi,
Thanks & regards

Dear Kavitha,
As per my knowledge PF is calculated 12% from the employee side.
PF - 3.67% + EPS - 8.33% + EDLI - 0.5% + EPF admin charge(in case not having trust) + EDLIS admin charges
- 0.01%.
This is generally calculated on Basic + da. but some org. calculated it on Actual basic pay.
