Dear All,
I need to take advise of you on do we need to take approval of Govt of INDIA or Labour Department when we making HR policies & Procedures. We are the newly established company in India.

HR policy is made on the bases of the general rules & and act aplicable to your state or organization .apart to it what facility you want to add from the co. side .
for eg . leave rule follow the act. as it talk about EL or PL leave . etc can add short leave.
timing ,shifts,canteen facilities and transportation but not to break the compliance .

Dear Rakhi,
There is no requirement to take approval of Labour Department when you make HR policies and procedures. However it is necessary that the such policies should not be violative of any of the Labour/ Employment related legislations. If you need any help on this issue you can write to .
