Dear sir, What about the ex-employees who’s wages is more than 21,000/-p.m. Is he eligible for Bonus. Pl advice.

Dear Jayant,
If the wages or salary as defined at sec.2(21) of Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 exceeds Rs. 21,000/- per month then that ex-employee shall not be entitled for any bonus under this Act.

As per the Payment of bonus act 1965, an employee drawing a gross salary of less than Rs. 21000 /-P.M is eligible for the bonus. In your case, the person is not eligible for the bonus.

As per the Payment of bonus act 1965, an employee drawing a SALARY (BASIC + DA), of less than Rs. 21000 /-P.M - is eligible for the bonus.
