Hello Venkat,

Ask your friend Anvesh to try this out.

Rather than asking or expecting the Company or the boss to train him, let him politely offer to do the job posting so that the boss's time is saved--he can add that it will with his clearance. Similarly for other HR tasks as well.

UNLESS Anvesh has NOT already made a mark for messing-up some situations, any boss will usually agree.

Another way is to go thru the Job Postings that are posted & make any suggestions to present the postings better. The downside here would be the flak he will need to take IF the suggestions are not quite professional......but that's a part of the learning process.

Like other members mentioned, this is quite common for those beginning their careers. And in small Companies, no one has quite the time to formally train others. IT all needs to be learnt on-the-job.

And the timeframe of 7 months you mentioned is not a benchmark......it all depends on the confidence-level your friend generates in his boss. There's nothing of less or more time in such issues.

All the Best.

Rgds,

TS
