Hi Ketty
Basically, the XL profs would be more interested in why you taking up this course and how it would help you in your future endeavours. There was just one prof taking my interview...but then later another prof joined. I was first asked, tel us about urself....where i described all about my education and current work profile. Being a software engineer....i was repeatedly asked why i want to pursue this course and why a shift to the HR domain. The interview lasted for around 10 mins.
Dont worry....you actually dont need much of a preparation for the interview....but be clear what you want out of this course and put that forward.
All the Best!!

Hi Saumya,
Thanks a lot for reply on interview help!!
I wanted to know from you, that how would you personally rate these virtual classes. R these really helping the participants.
Would you recommend this to the new applicants? I have applied for PGCBM (Business Management) and I have 4 years of work experience in IT. I am interested to know how can this certificate course be utilized in one's work profile? (Any of your personal experiences?)
Looking forward to your reply.

I appeared for the interview on 29th of April and got selected!!

Giving a brief over view of my interview. It was a weird experience. There were 2 people mid 30's to take the interview. First question they asked me was the meaning of my name. Then the usual about you question. Then I was asked "whether school life is more enjoyable or the college life" This was followed by my current work experience and previous work experience as well. In between the discussions, I was interruppted by one of the interviewer and then came a cracky question, " In EXCEL, we get two tabs Enable Macros and disable Macros- Can u explain the difference between the two? Also tell us wht are Macros" [P.S. - please note I did English Hons. and had no background of IT]. The I was asked to name 10 CEO's of the globe. Next was to name 5 HR Heads of different companies. Next question- WHat is the difference between a Private Limited company and a limited company.

As If this was all not enuf, I was asked to name 5 authors of Indian Origin who have written novels in English and some of their creations. They inquired abt who Arundhati Roy is and which is the latest thing that she is associated with. Then they asked a bit simple question:icon10:- why should we take you for the course?

Last after so long grilling, they said, anthing tht u want me to say so tht we can select you for the course.

phewww that was too much for me to handle. But now that Im innn Im happy :).
