Hi Shweta,
I have explained about a HR role in a startup company for a different member, who raised a similar question. timetaken for implementing new ideas is solely dependent on your boss. practicaly speaking, any startup company would not give much importance to HR at initial stages of their growth. once the company has a min employee strength of 30, they come to know th real need for an HR. since at startup it goes most of administration kind. ok anyway you have asked about the roles to perform, again to be more specific, u need to tell the field you are working currently. coz a software company issuses are diff from other traditional business.

Hi,
According to me the most challenging aspect for a HR person is create an environment in which the minds vibe together. Each one have their own mindset and their preferences also differ. This could be due to various reasons like the background from where they come from, their principles etc., etc.
As a HR person, we are entrusted with the responsibility of Managing and Developing People. This would mean you also understand them and their needs. Especially, one would face hell to manage people's thought process at the time of Merger/ Acquisitions/ Lay Offs.
I have not faced this situation in my career so far, but I have heard about it from other fellow-members on this forum and felt how tough it would be for them.
