Dear Colleague,
Many Service organizations has system of working only Monday to Friday and some have alternative Saturday Off system already. If it is a Manufacturing or Continuous process Industry then you need to think and give deep thought before introducing such system of 2 Saturdays off.

If you are convinced on Productivity Vs Cost saving aspect and still want to go for alternate Saturdays holiday system then you may place a note to the Management on Merits and Demerits both documented and what is the recommendation considering the overall advantages. In the case of cost advantages:

1. You may work out the cost of Facilities - Food and Beverages, Electricity, Transport arrangements, Office Administration Cost, Lift usages cost, Utilities Cost and so on for the 2 Saturdays and multiply for month and year to project in a good manner

2. What are the impact on work life balance so that the intangible cost of Attrition and Replacement Cost and its impact

3. How the Mobile usage, Telephone, Internet, IT Expenses on these days of off and how it impacts

4. The Manpower that works for these 2 days like Office Attenders, Drivers, Staff who are supporting in the Administration and their wages for these days

5. The reduction logistics cost for all employees

6. Stock Movement cost and dispatch section cost reduction as bulk dispatch can be done on Monday if business is allowing it .

These are few thoughts on which you may build further based on your model of Business.
