Online Attendance Record Keeping - how long a Deemed University should keep its Employee Record?

Can anybody tell for how long a Deemed University should keep its Employee Record (Attendance etc.) as per Labour Law, if it is on ERP or punched in BioMetric Machine. Thanks

General practice followed in Organization is that records of minimum 5 years shall be kept safely
by Organizations. There are companies which are keeping records of more than 5 years.
Hence for digital records, you need to keep a back up for minimum period of 5 years.
