Hi Raashi,

If a employee is working in any industry should have some goals to achieve in his designation. This may be company goals or personal goals which leads to achieve business goals of an organisation.

If company have good Performance Appraisal then KRA's is one of the most important aspect.

An employee joined any organisation should have to achieve some desirable goals for the company. So there should be a planning to achieve this goals like duration, time frame , schedule to complete the task or goals.

KRA's will help us show us some path towards that goals, expectation of the company on the employees.

KRA's will help you to understand how far the employees reached / tried to achieve them. Those goals if the employee achieved then they can be given more responsibilities like promotion or increase in salary, incentives etc.

KRA's will help us draw some lines to achieve some goals (personal development of the employee or professional goals )

So I feel every organisation should have performance appraisal with KRA's with it.

This will help you evaluate the performance of the employees as well as goals achieve by the organisation as whole.

Hope this input will enable you to understand the concept. If you want more information plz feel free to contact me.

thanks

shravan
