According to me the best five motivators at work place should be
1 Positive Environment of the office
2. Supportive Staff
3. Challenging work (with the criteria for job rotation)
4.Consistent Boss(who can keep his commitments)
5.Accountability of your work.
There are many for me but if we look around the present scenario corporate sector is more or less getting into the political drama, blame games are common in many organizations .
Fear of boss is second important thing .Boss always quote himself as open to feedbacks but the ground reality is that he can never listen to the feedback .
See to work under stress is not as difficult as working under fear.
So if you want a Self motivated employee in your organisation ,try to understand his human perspective and don't deal with him as if he is a robot.

Money can motivate some under some conditions. for money to motivate an individual performance, certain conditions must be met. First, money must be important for individual, but it is not important for everybody. High achievers for instance , are intrinsically motivated, money would have little impact on these people.

Second, Broad based stock options sounds grt motivation as employees see themselves as owers, rather than just workers.

Third, Achievement, power @ affiliation are three imp motivation at work. The drive to excel, to achieve in relation to a set of standards , to strive to succeed motivates many.

similarly power... the need to make others behave in way that they would not have behaved otherwise, & finally the desire for friendly & close interpersonal relationships, is tremendous motivation.

Then certain factors such as company, policy & admini, supervision & salary when adequate in a job placate workers.Relationship with seniors, supervisor, work conditions, relationship with peer, company's overall image, performance appraisals, growth & learning factors all are motivator for some or other.

Hi Richa,
Its really a great effort to collect such information from the HR professionals, at the same time I am bit confused about the first 3 questions. I would like to know what is the logic behind collecting the personal information???…..is that you are doing a survey among the HR Professionals or a smart way of head hunting???
My sincere apology if you have hurt …
Regards,
Minshy.

Hi Mjose,
I really appreciate the fact that you tried to think why am i collecting the data in such a format.well i am just trying to find out that if there is any relation of motivation with age, exerience, gender ...It is possible that motivation factors of male might differ from female OR with age and experience the motivating factors differ.
But till now i guess the sample size is too small..i am awaiting some for data..lets see.
thanks and regards,

Yes Money only can do anything.

It changes anything and everything.

Once all let's question ourselves....

If you are got a chance of going U.S with 5 lakhs for month, will continue your job whether u r getting 80,000/- per month. No...100% no.

Now, you have a question. I know that what all you are going to question.

I am ready to answer ...? Plz send.
