Can relieved employee get a negative remark on his relieving letter when he/she was relieved during an ongoing investigation?
Your question is not clear, but to the extent I understand, an employer can show the reason for relieving in the relieving letter only after the investigation/ enquiry is over. Normally, an employee will be relieved from duties after the inquiry is over and if he is found guilty of the charges, naturally, the relieving letter would contain the reason for relieving as dismissal/ discharge as recommended by the disciplinary committee/ authority. But if the enquiry is not over, the employer should not show any reason and if any negative comment is put as reason for relieving the order will become a stigmatic order. That is not permitted.
