Hi Viswanath,
Nice answer
pschometric test is to identify personality and the job that suits their personality.
I am very much ignorant about :
Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
16PF(Sixteen Personality Factors)
FIRO-B (Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Orientation in Behavior)
OPQ (Occupational Personality Questionnaire)
6.Integrity Tests
Feels that these tests can give only tips, a sketch about the personality......
In your experience what extent it was useful.............
I think only human brain can understand the other human brain.....
No system can bring this out to .........

Hi, having done PG in Clinical Psychology we had dealt with testing.
Tests are most misused, the least understood, yet the most valuable sources of information. We can say that tests are a sample of an aspect of an individual's behaviour, performance or attitude.
The tests mentioned here widely used.
16 PF is a personality test where in an individual is scored on 16 personality factors. Its developed by Cattell. Also there are other personality tests such as THEMATIC APPERCEPTION TEST, RORCHACH INKBLOT TEST, etc.
In addition to this there are several tets such as ACHIEVEMENT TESTS, INTEREST TEST, APTITUDE TESTS.
You can refer :Psychological testing" by Anne Anastasi, Susana Urbina.
If you need any further help you can ask.

dear friend,
psychometric means measuring the conscious part of mind. human mind is like a iceberg. what is visible is just a grain. the invisible has many aptitudes, attitudes, skills and knowledge which are not seen at one go. they come out only at appropriate situations.
In todays competitive world, organizations want people who not only perform in the present but also possess sufficient stuff for the future. Organizations want people who can work under conditions of risk, uncertainty, conflict, etc.
In this backdrop, organizations are trying to extract the invisible part of the iceberg through various tests. These tests are in the form of MBTI, FIRO-B, MAO-B etc. You can give these in the google search to find out more about them.

Hello, to all on this topic.
well test have to be bought and yes ,but first one should know what these test are?/
then on whom they are to be tested ??????
as all test have an age considerstions
then what do you want to get from the test.
the best way is to make a sequence or structure actions:
Why do u want a test?
When do you want to administer it?
On whom do you want to ?
What do you need to get from the test?
Because all these test give a result of say some personality traits or say adjuatment level or say the decision making ability of any employee or maybe even the neurotisium etc.............
these test are available in india at some agencies .
i do have a list of them. ask if u require them.
thanks
