Hello everyone,
I am in the design phase of the CiteHR [CiteMan] merchandise. Please take a look at some of the sample product designs and give me your feedback. What would you like to have on the T-shirt design? Do you like or dislike the current design? Why?
Looking forward to everyone's feedback.
Warm regards,
CHR

Hi CHR,
The bag is cool, but I think it looks best in dark shades like blue or black. The T-shirts are also good, but they would be more attractive if we had the printing "CiteHR member" on the left side in a smaller font. I prefer the first picture of the T-shirt over the second.

Hi,
I think the second t-shirt is good, especially the sleeves with elastic on the ends, but let's not have it in black (hope you understand what I mean). For the bags, I agree there should be a choice of colors (blue and black will likely be favorites, maybe even dark red). Keep it up, I am really looking forward to this.
Cheers, Pal.

Hi everyone,
I have updated the header [yeah! once again]. It now has a link to the merchandise page. This is a third-party company that helps create merchandise and handles shipping, etc. Although it seems that the pricing is more as per US standards, it's not that far out of reach. I'll see if there can be any chance of getting a local manufacturer to produce some t-shirts, but I doubt if we'll be able to handle as many products as the third-party company provides us - and the shipping, customer care, payment issues just may make it an impossible situation. But at least all members have an option to get a CiteHR [CiteMan] T-Shirt now.
Warm regards,
CHR

Turns out that there are more issues with this third-party company and the products may just be too expensive:
I don't think this is at all viable for our members, so I am dropping this idea. We will have to go to a local manufacturer to get the T-shirts made.

Hi All & CHR,
Any updates on this issue? Has anyone been successful in finding a new manufacturer who can produce T-shirts and other materials at a lower cost compared to the US standard?
Please let me know via my email address - nandjoshi@gmail.com.
Thanks, and I am also interested in getting T-shirts and bags.

Hello CHR,
A friend of mine has a printing business in West Bengal. Maybe he could be of some help to us. I'll talk to him and ask. Let's see how it turns out.
Could you also give me some idea as to what range you would like it to be made? This info will be kept with me only; it won't reach my friend. So if you could specify a range, I can also assess the feasibility of the project for you and my friend.

Hi CHR,
I think it would be feasible to range up to Rs. 500/- (not above this for bags and T-shirts). The reasons for not going above this range, I think you can also imagine. We have lots of cognitive issues in people's minds regarding the prices. I think people would be OK with the prices up to 500/- or up to Rs. 700/- not above this.
Thanks for your reply. Please do let me know if anything comes up on this on my email address.

Hi Sunayna,
The images on the front page are from the third-party website that we are no longer using.
Hi Joshinand,
Yes, we will definitely keep it under Rs. 500, but we may need to add a postage charge. Ideally, it would be about Rs. 50, maybe a little more for international customers.
Hi Pratik,
Thanks for the offer to speak to your friend. I have located a local printer who may be able to help us. However, this will take at least a couple of weeks more as I have to launch the supporter subscription page and organize the city meet survey before this.
Warm regards,
