Hi,
Dress Code
While at XYZ Company, we do not have a specific dress code, it is clearly expected that all employees will dress professionally and in a manner consistent with the organization’s corporate environment.
This is what I have kept in my HR Policy Manual.
If you require more information, feel free to contact.

Hi,
It is mostly specified in the HR Manual or Employee handbook about the dress code. If your company is working 6 days a week, then Monday to Friday is for formal dressing, and Saturday is casual. If your company is working 5 days a week, then Monday to Thursday is formal, and Friday is casual.
Formal Dressing:
Depending on the company, for males, it usually consists of a full-sleeve light shirt and matching dark trousers with shoes. For females, options include salwar suits, business suits, or sarees.
Casual Dressing:
Casual attire may include jeans, t-shirts, or any western wear. Sometimes, it is specified not to wear t-shirts, with comments such as "women employees should not wear heavy jewelry."
Warm regards,

Hi Guna,
When it comes to IT companies, most of them operate on a five-day workweek. Employees typically dress formally for four days, with specific guidelines for both male and female attire. Fridays are designated as casual days, again with specific dress code requirements.
I can provide you with further details if needed.

Let me add further considerations for prescribing a dress code.
Employees who have to deal with customers must be dressed formally. The type of formal dressing must depend on the season and weather condition. It will be quite amusing to find someone dressed in a formal three-piece woolen suit visiting a customer in equatorial Africa at the height of summer. :)
Employees who do not have to deal with customers and are also not directly seen by the customers who visit a facility can be dressed casually even seven days a week.
Is not the idea of smart or casual dressing based on the belief that companies want to present a positive image to their existing or prospective customers? Also, if we are dressed in pajamas, we may not even wake up when we are in the office. :)

Dear friend, according to me, there should be differentiation between mgmt and non mgmt staff. u should ask the union about color they like so they can like the dress.

Hi Prabhakar,
I need your help. Could you please specify explicitly what kind of attire is acceptable in formal and casual categories? I am preparing a dress code policy for my organization (service industry) and would greatly appreciate your assistance.
