Hi, as an existing hospital, I hope the TPA Manager position is not newly created and someone should already be performing the role of TPA Manager. If so, you can collect the roles and responsibilities and compile them as the job description for said position.
General Responsibilities of a TPA Manager
Collects and verifies TPA card, Photo ID card, or insurance policy at the admission desk while the patient starts receiving necessary medical treatment.
Assists the patients/family members in filling out the pre-authorization form and necessary consent forms. Forwards the completed forms to the concerned TPA by fax/mail within 24 hours of the patient's hospitalization.
Actively responds to any queries or requests for additional information from the concerned TPA regarding the patient's treatment.
Follows up with the concerned TPA for the authorization letter and duly informs the patient/family members.
In case of the issuance of a denial letter, ensures that the patient/family members settle the entire bill amount by cash payment.
Works as a TPA/Insurance Cashless Coordinator.
Responsible for resolving billing issues by discussing discounts with third-party payers and settlements.
Fully responsible for Cashless Billing.
