Hi all,
I need help. We provide one paid leave during the probation period of six months. Now, one of our employees who joined us in August 2017 didn't take any leave from August to October 2017, but now he has taken two leaves in November. Should we deduct one day's salary or not?

Dear Priya,
This completely depends on the policy and rules of your organization only. If you allow only 1 paid leave to the employee during the probation period, then the other 1 day should be deducted. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that the rule applies the same to everyone, and there should not be discrimination on a case-to-case basis, which creates confusion or problems while solving the issue.
