Hello to all the seniors of Cite HR, I need help or suggestions to give a good start to my HR career in the USA, specifically California, as I am new to this place. I can't understand whether to go for a new degree like an MBA in the USA or if there is a possibility to get a good job with an MBA degree from India. If anybody has any contacts or referrals in the USA (for HR), please let me know. It will be of great support for Cite HR volunteers.

Thanks,
Reena Agrawal

This depends on the regulations in the USA. Normally, foreigners are recruited for specialized jobs when the talent is not available in the country. Please check on this.

You can pursue a specialized degree there and aim for jobs in specialized or niche profiles.

Thank you for your response. As I am a green card (spouse visa) holder, I believe I have no restrictions on jobs. My main concern is regarding my education in HR, specifically which stream is good to pursue, such as operational parts/non-operation (recruitment, training, and development, etc.).

Industry Preferences

Next, I am interested in knowing which industry is good to work in, and if you have any contacts who can guide me in this regard.

Thank you.
