Dear All, Greetings! Can you please advise on how many gazetted/restricted holidays should be observed in an organization in addition to national holidays? Also, please clarify which days should be designated as gazetted holidays. I am aware that this can vary from state to state. Our offices are located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

Please provide guidance on this matter as soon as possible as I urgently need to draft a policy regarding holidays.

Dear All,

Holiday Eligibility During Absences

Can you advise me on the following scenarios: If an employee is absent on the 9th and 11th, and the 10th is a national holiday, will the holiday be given or not?

Secondly, if an employee is absent from the 1st of August to the 31st of August (the entire month) and the 15th of August is a national holiday, will it be given or not?

I would appreciate your opinions.

As far as my knowledge is concerned, the gazetted holidays should be 10-12 in a year, and they should be extended to all employees of the company. Restricted holidays should be 3-4, and only 2-3 days should be granted to all employees.
