How do the statutory obligations work, if an employee is falling under ESIC, whether PF becomes mandatory for that individual?

If an employee's salary is not more than Rs. 21,000, then he should be covered by ESI. If the salary is not more than Rs. 15,000, then he should be covered by EPF. Basically, it is the organization that should be covered first. An establishment employing 10 persons will be covered by the ESI Act, and an establishment employing 20 or more employees will come under the EPF Act.
