Hi all,
I resigned from my company as I received a new offer from another company. The notice period was short, around 11 days, but I was fine with the payout. My supervisor kept persuading me to extend the notice period as it would help reduce attrition. I informed him that I would try, but unfortunately, I couldn't do so. Now, he is saying that since I had committed to him about extending the notice period, he has already submitted my details for an extension to HR. HR mentioned that it is irreversible since it was done on our portal.
On my last day (25/10/21 as per my resignation date), I went to the portal and rejected the extension. I never logged in to my old company after that. I have already started working at another company (on 26/10/21), and they are requesting my relieving letter. I now have access to my previous company's portal, and it shows my attendance as "SUPL" after my last day. I informed HR (old company) about rejecting the extension, and she said that my supervisor and manager are discussing my last day.
My concern is, since I worked until 25/10/21, will my relieving letter reflect that date, or will it be based on my supervisor's application for an extension? I tried calling my supervisor, but he didn't answer. On 26/10/21, I followed HR's instructions and submitted my ID card to the old company and sent an email to HR regarding the same.
Thank you.
