I recently changed my job. As per the new salary, my basic is ₹38,333. According to their CTC bifurcation, they are deducting ₹4,600 from my gross salary (38,333 * 12%). They are also going to credit the same amount (₹4,600) from their side. My current basic salary is ₹21,600, but still, they are only deducting (15,000 * 12%) ₹1,800.

So, I want to take home more. Is it possible to reduce the deduction from ₹4,600 to ₹1,800 only? How?

Understanding Take-Home Salary and PF Contributions

To get a higher take-home salary, you may be willing to accept lower savings. You can discuss this with your new employer, and if they agree based on the company's policy, it might be possible. However, if you contribute based on a ₹15,000 basic salary, which is ₹1,800 per month towards PF, the organization will match that with ₹1,800 per month instead of ₹4,600 per month. This results in a net loss of (₹4,600 - ₹1,800 = ₹2,800) per month. The decision is yours.

Thank you for the prompt answers. Actually, I am receiving a package with the CTC. From the CTC, they are deducting a total of ₹9200 (employee and employer share). Yes, you are right. I have discussed with them to deduct only ₹1800 from both sides. Ultimately, this would increase my take-home by ₹5600. However, they mentioned that as per their company's policy, this adjustment is not possible. Is there any legal document available that I can refer to? This way, I can request them to deduct only ₹1800 from both sides. Thank you in advance.

Understanding CTC and PF Contributions

Your understanding of the concept of CTC is incorrect. If you are saving their money by not taking more PF, it does not mean that they are going to pay the balance money to you. CTC is the potential cost to the company, not the actual payout.
