Dear All,

I am writing this to highlight my below concerns:

1- I was interviewed for the profile "Category Lead in the capacity of Assistant Manager." The word "Lead" clearly gives an idea of the profile which involves "Team Management," which was also clearly mentioned in the JD. However, after joining, I am being offered a profile equivalent to an associate/individual contributor role and one level below my previously held position.

2- I have been deployed at a compensation which is less than my previous one, whereas I was offered an INR 1.1 lac/annum increment on my last compensation, which also includes a variable part. Though it will come into effect after 3 months of my probation period, after getting to know about some irrelevant business goals in the near future, I wonder if I will get that increment in case the company's goals are not met, and also my confirmation may get postponed.

3- If I choose to leave the organization at this stage, I will have to suffer a monetary loss as I left my previous organization and rejected other relevant offers to join this organization. I am not sure how soon I will be able to join a new organization after this.

4- If I choose to continue at my current profile in this organization, it will definitely block my path to grow in my career as working at one level lower profile will not take me to a higher level in the future at any other organization.

I would request the organization to consider this as a really important concern and come up with an appropriate stand to maintain its integrity and prove to be a great place to work, as I am going to suffer in both monetary and professional aspects if I choose any of the above options.

I would suggest first discussing your concern with your HoD/HR to get a clear idea of why this is happening. You'll be informed of the reasons behind the unexpected development, upon which you may decide on weighing options. I think you are on probation with certain terms of the Notice Period also, if and when you decide to quit, you may be pushed to the extreme.
