Dear All,

I am working as an HR Generalist in a factory for 2 years. If I change my career to the IT sector, will it affect my career growth? The manufacturing sector has been facing significant challenges recently, and I am considering transitioning to the IT or corporate sector. What impact will this change have on my career growth? How do the roles and responsibilities in factory HR differ from those in IT HR?

Which industries offer the best future prospects? I am hopeful for positive guidance from all seniors to help me navigate towards a promising path.

Thank you.

Factory HR faces more challenges. Apart from the routine HR tasks, they need to focus on Industrial Relations, Labour Relations, Insurance, Disciplinary procedures, Statutory compliance, Time office, Health & Safety, Canteen, First aid, fire fighting, as well as Wages and Salary administration.

However, if you transition your career to IT, you will need to concentrate on Recruitment and Selection, Employee retention, Compensation management, Employee rewards, and the performance appraisal system.
