Employment Transition and Resignation Concerns

I had been working as an accountant in a permanent position in the central government. After being selected as a Senior Section Engineer (SSE) in the Railway, I left that job and obtained a relieving letter to join the SSE post. The SSE posting place was mentioned in the relieving order. I started SSE training on August 8, 2017, but due to some personal reasons, I had to return home just after two days. Since then, I have not returned there and submitted my resignation application on 19/08/2017. However, I have not received any response from their side until today. It has been more than six months now.

Seeking Advice on Next Steps

What should I do next? I am supposed to join another government job this month. Will this incident cause any problems for me in my new position?

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

You are a government servant. But actions are totally ignoring departmental rules. You joined SSE training and then left for 6 months. Peculiar actions. Has your resignation been accepted? You need to go there and find out personally. You may find it difficult to join another government department when you are unaware whether the resignation is accepted.
