Hi, I have been working with this company for about four months now, and HR hasn't given me any kind of mail or offer letter. Even after working for four months, every time I ask her, she says she hasn't received any order from the GM or director. Now, I am not feeling good about this job, and I have received another offer. The new company's HR wants me to submit proof that I have been working with the past company, but I don't have any, and the previous HR is not taking any action. I haven't mentioned anything about this at the new place, and the job is irrelevant to the previous one. Will they consider hiring me as a fresher so that I won't have to submit any details regarding my old job?

Hi,
Are you a fresher? Is this your first job? How did you join this company? Did you receive any mail confirmation from the company about your job offer? If you have that and since you have been working in the current company for 4 months, you can show that to the new employer.

Well, it is my first job. I received an on-the-spot offer after the interview, and they instructed me to join immediately that day, so I did. After a week, I started asking for an email regarding my joining, but since then, they have not provided me with anything concrete. They try to avoid the subject by saying we will discuss it later, or mention that they have not received any direction from the general manager. Currently, I only have an ID card, and my salary is provided through checks. If I were to inform another company about my situation, would they accept a bank statement as proof of employment given the circumstances?

Hi, it's been a long time since you have been waiting for the offer letter. They are supposed to give it to you before you join the company or at least within a month of your joining. Please check whether the cheque has the company name on it, and remember that a bank statement can serve as proof only if it shows the company name.
Since this is your first job, if you wish to join as a fresher, you can go ahead and join the new company as a fresher. Alternatively, you can be honest with the company where you want to join about your current situation.
Hope this helps.

Hi Puneet,
As you have already completed 10 months, you should check with your company to see if they are willing to provide you with an experience letter. Otherwise, it is a waste to work for a company that does not offer any proof of your employment. When you are searching for another job, potential employers may not consider this experience valid since you do not have an offer letter or confirmation email.
