Hi all,
I'm planning to go for an educational development course in HRM through TalentEdge in collaboration with SHRM and XLRI. It is a 6-month certification program that is virtual-based. I would like to request if anyone is aware of this course or has completed it, please guide me on its relevance and scope.
Regards,

Hi Aarti,
I completed the same course last year. It was kind of a crash course, packed into a short time. The books are good and informative. In short, people do this to add the XLRI tag to their resume.

Hi Mahesh/Arti, can you help me to know about fees of this 6 month certification course (in HR) from XLRI or similar reputed institutes/colleges ?

Hello Aarti, please ask yourself, why do you want to do this course?
Knowledge enhancement
a) If it's for knowledge enhancement: For sure, the course, study materials, and the insights shared by the best professors would help you gain more knowledge. You have to be dedicated to learning in-depth concepts during the short time (6 months).
Career opportunities and pay
b) If you think this certificate alone will bring more opportunities and better pay in the market, then it's not exactly true. I have done a similar course from a premier institute and added it to my resume. The recruiters ask whether it's a virtual course or a full-time campus course. Nowadays, most working professionals are taking up these virtual courses, expecting the same outcome as "studying full time in the premier institute campus." The reality is it will boost your level of knowledge and may provide some marginal opportunities. However, employers know the difference between virtual courses and full-time courses and the price to pay for it.
So, good luck.
