Dear All,

I have a query regarding voluntary PF deduction: can an employer or employee deduct PF below the INR 15,000 limit when the salary for PF calculation exceeds INR 15,000? Also, what are the penal consequences for non-compliance, if any?

Sorry, the scheme does not work like that. Once you submit PF for this employee, you have to abide by section 6. Therefore, it cannot be changed with discretion. A penalty under section 14 will be imposed: either 1 year in jail or a fine of 5000 Rs.
